Spirit in the city - june 2014.
The St Joseph's Young Adults assisted in the organisation and also participated in the Spirit in the City festival. It is a celebration of Christian faith in the heart of London, hosted by the Catholic Churches in the West End. The annual festival aims to share the Good news of Christianity, and welcomes people of all faiths, ages and walks of life in the middle of the entertainment district. It gives an opportunity to raise deeper questions about life. We are all searching for new ways to connect with God and others around us. The events feature live music, workshops, talks, opportunities for prayer, reflection and reconciliation. At the end of the function we all took back something and that something was sharing the good word with a total stranger. All the members enjoyed what they did and have been with this for the last four years.
The Risen Lord - Easter Party.Updated about. The members of the St Joseph's young adults had a get together to celebrate Easter as a family. Each one brought something to share and everything was yummy!!! It was a fun filled evening with a mixture of everything right from a Live band by 'Chico', games by Ms Dione Barreto and Mr Edwin Colaco. The Parish Priest Fr John spoke on the occasion along with Fr Jose on the importance of Easter in our life's.
If any event has to be successful its the cooperation of every member, We'd like to thank everyone for their active participation and contribution in terms of food and fizzy drinks. At last special Thanks to the coordinator Ms. Vita Dourado for coordinating the event very well.

Archbishop of Westminster addresses representatives of St. Joseph's Youth Group and other youth attending Flame congress Speaking to 8,500 young people, Archbishop Vincent Nichols urged them to keep their hearts open to the Word of God.
He was speaking at the Flame Congress, a Catholic Youth Ministry event held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24 March 2012.
During his address the Archbishop referred to Holman Hunt’s painting “The Light of the World” where Jesus is painted standing at a door and knocking.
Door of our hearts
Archbishop Nichols said “That door is the door of our hearts. The Lord’s knocking upon our hearts isn’t the noise of one demanding entry, rather the enquiring knock of one seeking us out in gentleness and love. I hope that during this day each of you has both heard the Lord knocking on that door and opened it to him. This is a crucial experience which shapes our entire lives, our understanding of who we are and who we’re called to be. The one who knocks is the light of the world, by which we see things as they truly are: ourselves, our actions, our neighbours, our family, our society, and our pathway ahead.”
The Archbishop said : ‘I ask each of you first and foremost to look into your heart, think of all the love that your heart was made to receive, and also the love it is meant to give, after all we were made for love. This is what the Bible means when it says that we are made in the image and likeness of God.’
